On June 5, 2023, Hope & Heroes hosted its 27th Annual Golf Tournament at the prestigious Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey. This much-anticipated event brought together more than 200 enthusiastic golfers, all rallying behind a common goal – raising funds to support our life-saving work in the fight against childhood cancer across the New York tri-state area.
The day’s highlight was the inspiring remarks by Emerson Riter, a childhood cancer survivor and the daughter of Hope & Heroes’ Board Member Sam Riter. Emerson’s moving story served as a poignant reminder of the importance of our cause and the life-changing impact we can make by supporting young patients and their families.
Outgoing Golf Committee Co-Chairs Jeff Kurtz and Brett Epstein received special recognition for their steadfast support of the Tournament over the past 27 years. Their unwavering dedication to this event has contributed significantly to raising $15 million for pediatric cancer research, cutting-edge treatments, and a comprehensive range of programs and services.
