Hope & Heroes has been selected as an industry expert to be featured on Empowered, hosted by Meg Ryan, an award-winning public television series dedicated to sharing stories of impact, leadership, and hope. Our segment will premiere the week of April 27, 2026, and will be distributed to over 170 public television stations across the United States.

Telling Our Story on a National Stage

Empowered is built on a simple principle: education empowers people. The series, hosted by acclaimed actress and activist Meg Ryan, shines a light on stories that often go untold. Each episode is an opportunity to reach millions of homes with content that genuinely matters and drives change.

As part of their series, “No One Fights Alone,” Hope & Heroes’ feature is dedicated to raising awareness for childhood cancer, offering hope to those affected, and empowering people and communities to make a difference.

“Our feature on Empowered, hosted by Meg Ryan, connects us with millions of people nationwide who may not yet know Hope & Heroes, offering a window into the impact of our work on children and families facing childhood cancer,” says Bob Bomersbach, Executive Director of Hope & Heroes. “For those navigating a diagnosis, it delivers a powerful message: support, community, and hope are essential ingredients of Hope & Heroes’ charitable work.”
