Kicking Childhood Cancer with NYCFC

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Hope & Heroes joined the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) to give voice to our cause as part of
Major League Soccer’s “Kick Childhood Cancer” campaign.

Fans and supporters watched NYCFC take on the Philadelphia Union at Yankee Stadium. Several patient ambassadors and their families from the New York tri-state region were among those in the crowd.

Ambassador Brynn was honored as the “Community Kickoff Kid” and she was welcomed onto the field at the start of the game. Ambassador Rhett was NYCFC’s “Hero of the Match” and was recognized on-field during halftime. Also taking place during halftime was the debut of the latest Hope & Heroes message video which featured Rhett’s journey. View Rhett’s video below.

We extend our deepest thanks to our partner, NYCFC, as well as our patient families for helping to raise awareness for childhood cancer!
